VinFast is gearing up to strengthen its presence in India with the launch of an all-electric 7-seater MPV, aiming to tap into the high-demand family mobility segment that is currently dominated by ICE models. Speaking to ET Auto in Vietnam, VinFast India CEO Tapan Ghosh said the company sees strong potential for a spacious and practical MPV offering, with a focus on comfort, range and performance as key differentiators.
The company is positioning itself in the mid-premium category, targeting volumes through value-driven products rather than a top-down luxury approach. Alongside the MPV, VinFast is also preparing to enter India’s competitive electric two-wheeler market with three models, expected to be launched in quick succession.
